Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How do I update the prices and markups on my materials?
You can update the pricing for your materials in one of two ways: 1) they can
change the price for each vinyl/substrate/etc individually, or if you have
the Advanced Management Suite you can update the prices globally via the management menu. Two procedures folow, first changing cost and markups individually and 2nd updating costs and markups globally.
Updating Costs/Markups individually:
There are two ways to do this:
1. Click Edit Data Files > Ingredients > Substrates (for example). Highlight the substrate you want to edit and click the edit button at the bottom of the screen to edit the entry. Change your markup or other parameter as desired and click the green OK checkmark twice to return.
2. When in a quote, to change a cost or markup on an ingredient such as a vinyl or substrate click the book icon to the right of the dropdown list. For example if you wanted to change the markup on a substrate you would click the book icon to the right of the substrate dropdown box to enter the substrate database and then as above, highlight the entry you want to edit, click the edit button, change the markup, and click the green checkmark twice to return to the quote.
Updating costs/markups globally:
1. Click Management > Update costs globally. Select 'My markups' or ' My costs' from the What To Update screen, and uncheck any options items you do not wish to update, if any. Click the picture of the hand icon on the lower right of the screen to move forward.
2. Click the modify or set to option on the How Much to Update screen, and indicate the percentage you want to mark the item up or modify the existing percentage by. Click the right hand icon to move to the next screen.
3. Choose which items you want to mark up or click the 'check all' button to select all the items in the retail items database. Click the right hand icon to proceed.
