1.9. Does EstiMate install BDE stealth software on my computer?

I heard about stealth software called BDE that piggy backs on other software allowing the creators to use my processor power, bandwith and other parts of my computer. When I installed EstiMate I saw that it installed something called BDE! Is EstiMate installing privacy invasive stealth software on my computer?

EstiMate does NOT install stealth software on your computer. EstiMate Software is very concerned about our customers privacy. The BDE EstiMate installs is the Borland Database Engine, a database program that EstiMate uses to store its data entries such as substrates, vinyls, foils etc.

If you have discovered stealth software on your computer and are attempting to remove it or delete files related to it please be careful not to delete files related to the Borland Database as doing so will impare EstiMate's operations.
